Peterborough County OPP take driver off the road for 7 days – charged with stunt driving

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar patrol on Highway 115 this morning. Shortly after 9:30am, an officer clocked a vehicle travelling at 155km/h in a posted 100km/h zone. The G2 driver advised that they were enroute to the DriveTest Centre for a G licence test. 

The 18 year old driver of Toronto, Ontario was charged with: 

  • Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on March 8, 2021.
