On December 4th, 2020, police conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle in the Town of Cobourg.
Police investigation led officers to discover open alcohol inside the vehicle, and a breath sample from the driver failed the roadside test. As a result, 58-year-old Port Hope resident, Pamela SELKIRK, was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol contrary to section 320.14 (1)(a) Criminal Code
- Operation while impaired – Concentration of Alcohol (over 80mg) contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) Criminal Code
- Drive while suspended – contrary to section 53 Highway traffic act
- Operate motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to section 32(1) Liquor License act
The accused was released from custody on an appearance notice with a future court date.
