Rainfall warning in effect for Northumberland County

Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Belleville – Quinte West – Eastern Northumberland County
  • Cobourg – Colborne – Western Northumberland County

Heavy rainfall totaling 30 to 50 mm is expected to continue this evening and into Friday. The frozen ground will have a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

Rain will continue this evening and last through Friday morning.

Discussion:
Rain is forecast to continue intensifying this evening, with periods of heavy rain likely tonight. Rain will ease to showers and then snow flurries Friday. A total of 30 to 50 mm of rain is expected across eastern Ontario.
