SCHOOLS IN NORTHUMBERLAND AND PETERBOROUGH COUNTIES OPEN THEIR DOORS TO STUDENTS ONCE AGAIN

The Monday morning routine has been restarted for parents and students in Northumberland and Peterborough Counties as schools open their doors to students.

Some changes to take note of while getting your children ready for school this morning.

  • Masks are mandatory for grades 1-12
  • Masks are recommended, but not mandatory for kindergarten students
  • Masks are to be worn for outdoor activities (recess) where a 2M Physical distance is not possible between students
  • Students are reminded to refrain from congregating in groups

A reminder to drivers that with school going back this morning, make sure you drive the posted speed limit in school zones. As well, don’t forget to stop for school buses with lights flashing and stop signs out.

For your friends at Northumberland County Breaking News Feed, we wish all students a great and safe first day back to school!
