It was shortly after 10:30PM this evening that a member of the Northumberland OPP working normal patrol came across a Toyota SUV parked out of place on Telephone Rd east of CR-30 in Brighton. The officer attempted to check on the driver of the vehicle when he realized something wasn’t right.
Upon investigation, the officer realized that the lone occupant was the subject who had been reported missing from Peel Region. The officer immediately radioed into dispatch to confirm details, and it was official. The 75-year old had been found.
The officer called the family of the male who are currently on the way from Peel Region. An ambulance was called to do a check-up on the man who decided the right thing to do would be to transport the male to hospital to further check on an existing medical condition that he did not have his medication for.
Previous to this discovery, the male was last seen leaving his residence on February 15, 2021 at approximately 9 PM in Peel Region.
I want to personally take the time to thank the members of the Northumberland OPP! Fabulous work by the officers on scene! This is just another example of the great work that comes from our emergency services in Northumberland County!
