Initial reports indicated that a single vehicle travelling on CR-2 had left the roadway and rolled over in the shoulder of the road. No injuries were sustained during the crash.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was assessed by Northumberland paramedics and cleared medically. The driver was then transported by OPP to a nearby detachment where the investigation continues.

Cramahe Fire Department utilized the jaws-of-life to access the engine bay of the truck to cut off power due to smoke coming from the vehicle. The roadway way closed for a very short period of time due to this incident occurring in a curve of the roadway where traffic had no visibility of the scene and emergency services.

Charges are pending. The vehicle has since been removed and all emergency services have cleared the scene.
