14 STUDENTS UNINJURED AFTER BUS CRASH IN HAMILTON TOWNSHIP

It was around 9:30 this morning that emergency services were called to Halstead Beach Rd in Hamilton Township north of Ganaraska Rd for a single vehicle MVC.

A bus driving in the area had slid into a ditch with 14 students on board. All 14 students and the bus driver were checked out by Northumberland Paramedics and it was confirmed that no injuries were sustained.

Northumberland OPP reported that roads were slick in the area, and around the same time a plow with Hamilton Township had also slid into a ditch.

The students were loaded into another bus and safely transported to their destination school.

Hamilton Township Fire Department, Northumberland Paramedics and Northumberland OPP all cleared the scene shortly after the vehicle was removed from the ditch by a tow. Weather and road conditions are likely to blame for this accident.
