42 YEAR VETERAN RETIRES FROM PORT HOPE POLICE SERVICE

42 year veteran Murray Devine celebrated his last day at Port Hope Police Service today. Murray joined the Port Hope Police Service in 1978 where he worked as a police officer and eventually working his way to a Sargent serving the community of Port Hope.

In 2008, then Sgt Devine retired after 30 years on the job. He loved the job and community so much that he came back a week later to serve the community again as the towns court officer, a job that he has done for the past 12 years.

His final moments at Port Hope Police Services were filled with fun, laughter, and bittersweet all around love.

Congratulations to 42 years Murray, thank you for your service to your community!
