PORT HOPE POLICE ARREST DRIVER FOR IMPAIRED BY DRUG

A citizen travelling on the 401 westbound on February 24th, 2021 contacted 911 around 9:00 a.m. after observing a white pick up truck in and out of the westbound lanes of the 401 highway. The complainant continued to follow the vehicle and updated police on the driver’s location. Port Hope Police attended the area of Pemberton Road, Port Hope, ON, and the male was pointed out to the officers. The officers observed the male which had been described by the witness at a local business. The officers observed the male to be out of his vehicle which was parked in a field. The male was observed staggering and bouncing off  the wall of a building as he walked. 

 As a result the officers arrested James Bromley, born in 1988 of Colborne Ontario at 9:10 a.m. for operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs. Bromely was released on a undertaking and will appear in Court on March 10, 2021 to answer to the charge.
