The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious incident that occurred Friday night.

On March 5, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Quinte West OPP were dispatched to a weapons call on Queen Street in Trenton. Complainants reported hearing what sounded like multiple gunshots. 

Quinte West OPP, with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) attended and learned that at approximately 9:15 p.m., a number of gunshots were fired from a passenger vehicle, striking a residence on Queen Street. The vehicle is described as a late model, white Dodge Charger, possibly a Hellcat which appears to have a hood scoop, spoiler and a trim kit. (See attached photo) It is believed to be a targeted incident, and there is no current risk to the public. No one was injured.

The Quinte West OPP Crime Unit is investigating this incident and asks that anyone with information regarding this incident or the person(s) responsible to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
