Driver caught speeding at 107KM/HR in a 50 KM/HR zone – Stunt driving charges laid.

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar patrol on Highway 7 last night. Shortly after 11:45pm an officer clocked a vehicle travelling at 107km/h in a posted 50km/h zone.  

The 31 year old driver of Gilmour, Ontario was charged with: 

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 3, 2021.
