The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver following a report of a suspected impaired driver.
On March 23, 2021, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Quinte West OPP were notified of a possible impaired driver who left a business on Front Street in Trenton. Officers located a vehicle matching the description provided at a business on Highway 33, east of Stockdale Road. When speaking with the driver, police observed signs of impairment. A roadside screening test was administered, and as a result the driver was arrested for impaired operation. The accused was transported to the Quinte West Detachment for testing where blood alcohol limits were determined to be in excess of the legal limit.
Tyler WOODCOCK, 30 years old of Marmora and Lake was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to the Criminal Code Section 320.14(1)(b).
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 8, 2021. Additionally, their licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
