A man has been charged with Fail to Comply with an Undertaking after police conduct a traffic stop on King Street West.
On the afternoon of Saturday, April 3, police on patrol conducted a traffic stop after detecting the odour of marijuana emanating from a vehicle travelling on King Street West.
As a result of the police investigation, 36-year-old Michael Brown of Cobourg was charged with the following offences:
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to Section 145(4)(a) of the Criminal Code.
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available contrary to Section 12(1) of the Cannabis Control Act
- Driver fail to surrender licence contrary to Section 33(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused was issued an Appearance Notice with a future court date.
