Port Hope Police are taking a different approach to enforcing this stay-at-home order

The Province has moved into a third province wide Lockdown as of today.

During the last lockdown, Port Hope Police took an educational approach at enforcing the stay-at-home order saying “educating members of our community was priority”.

With the current lockdown police say they will be taking a different approach, and if necessary will be laying charges under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.

The Port Hope Police are reminding residents that this lockdown needs to be taken seriously, saying “We all need to do our part to flatten the curve for Covid-19”.
