One charged and one arrested following police investigation in Port Hope

Two people have been charged by Port Hope Police after being found parked in a parking lot on Lake St near Gages Creek.

Police say on Monday morning at 4:20am two males were found sitting in a vehicle at the end of Lake St.

Following a police investigation, 39 year-old Victor Spindler of no fixed address was arrested and charged for possession of a schedule one substance.

The owner of the vehicle, a 54 year-old was charged with having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor.

During this stay-at-home order, Port Hope Police remind everyone to stay home unless it’s for an essential purpose.
