On Thursday, May 20, 2021, police were dispatched to an address downtown Cobourg.
The complainant advised police that the accused was in breach of their release conditions.
As a result of police investigation, the accused was charged with the following offences:
- Breach of Recognizance to Keep the Peace contrary to section 811 of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Having Liquor in an Open Container in other than a Licensed Premises, Residence or Private Place – contrary to section 32(1) of the Liquor License Act
- The accused was released on an undertaking and summons with a future court date.
- The accused’s name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
