The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people following a drug investigation.

On May 27, 2021 at approximately 3:15 p.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) of Quinte West and Central Hastings, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Loyalist Parkway in Trenton. A quantity of suspected cocaine and Psilocybin, valued at approximately $44000 was seized, along with drug paraphernalia and Canadian currency.

Samantha HAZELTON, 31 years old and Sean SULLIVAN, 35 years old both of Quinte West have been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine;
  • Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking – Psilocybin; and
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

Both accused were held for bail and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 28, 2021.
