On the evening of June 12, 2021, police attended a call for service for fraud in progress at a local business in the north end of Cobourg.
A man was located inside the business. Police investigation revealed that he was switching price tags to reduce the price of several items before purchase.
As a result, 46-year-old John HADDOW of Port Hope was arrested and charged with the following:
Fraud under 5000$ contrary to section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
HADDOW was released on an appearance notice with a future court date.
