It was shortly before 8:30PM tonight that emergency services were called to County Road 10 just north of the 4th Line for a single vehicle MVC.
Port Hope Fire and Emergency services along with Northumberland Paramedics and Northumberland County OPP responded to the call for service.
A pick-up truck was travelling southbound on County Road 10 when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck several trees, many of which landing on top of the truck.
Miraculously, the driver and occupying infant only sustained very minor injuries but were transported to hospital by paramedics for observation.
County Road 10 was down to one lane while tow removed the vehicle, however has since fully reopened.
