Toronto resident arrested after traffic complaint takes impaired driver off the road

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on Highway 115 at approximately 4:30pm yesterday afternoon. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of cocaine.

Devon BRADY (age 38) of Toronto, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus

• Possession of a Schedule I substance-cocaine

• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 3, 2021.
