Two people are dead and a child has been airlifted from the scene of a two vehicle collision at the entrance to the westbound Newcastle OnRoute.
It happened just before 7AM. Details are limited at this time but it is believed that a vehicle exiting the highway struck a stopped tractor trailer at highway speeds.
The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information or dash cam footage of the crash you are asked to contact OPP.
