Man charged with possession of break in tools after police respond to an early morning call.
In the early morning of Saturday, July 24, 2021, police were dispatched to a south end address in response to a report of a person entering vehicles. Upon arrival in the area, officers observed a man matching the description provided.
As a result of the subsequent police investigation, the man was arrested and found to be in possession of break-in tools. Richard ADRIAANS, a 29-year-old man of Cobourg, was charged with the following:
- Possess break in tools contrary to section 351(1) of the Criminal Code
- Fail to comply with probation order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the criminal code
ADRIAANS was released from custody with a future court date.
