CREWS ON SCENE FIGHTING A STRUCTURE FIRE IN CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP

It was at 11:30PM Tuesday evening the Cramahe Township Fire Department was called to attend an address in the 12000th block of Telephone Rd for a structure fire.

First arriving apparatus located a fully involved barn fire and called for mutual aid from Alnwick/Haldimand Fire Department and Brighton Fire and Rescue who responded with water tankers to assist with shuttling water to the scene. Trent Hills Fire Department responded to the Cramahe Township Fire Department north station for standby.

Crews used a defensive attack on the fire keeping firefighters well out of the fully involved structure.

Telephone Rd is closed west of County Rd. 25 while firefighters continue to extinguish the flames. Be advised that fire apparatus is shuttling water to the fire from the Colborne fire station so be aware of the emergency vehicles as you utilize County Rd. 25.

At this point there are no known injuries as a result of the fire. A neighbour noticed the fire and immediately called 911. The fire has been deemed as not suspicious in nature at this time.
