PETERBOROUGH MAN RESCUED FROM BURNING CAR IN SHARBOT LAKE

On August 28, 2021 at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers of the Sharbot Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 7 in Central Frontenac Township.

The ongoing investigation of the crash scene indicated that the driver of the motor vehicle left the road, struck a hydro pole and the vehicle caught on fire. Other motorist rendered assistance to get the lone driver out to safety. Frontenac Paramedics transported the 50 year old driver from Peterborough to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire.
