DRIVER CHARGED AFTER PEDESTRIAN STRUCK IN TRENTON

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver after a person was struck by a vehicle in downtown Trenton.

On September 1, 2021, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a car at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Fraser Park Drive. An 81 year old male suffered minor injuries and did not require transport to hospital. 

As a result, a 68 year old female from Quinte West was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
