Driver transported to hospital following Baltimore collision

It was around 10:00 AM this morning that emergency services were called to Harwood Rd just south of Clapperton Rd for a reported single vehicle collision.

An Audi sedan was travelling northbound on Harwood Rd when it left the roadway and entered the right ditch. The vehicle struck a few small tress and left the ditch, crossed the roadway, and came to a stop in the left side ditch.

The driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle and required light extrication by Hamilton Township Fire Department before being transported to the hospital with what are described as not serious injuries.

Harwood Rd was blocked at the scene for just under an hour while emergency crews cleared debris from the collision and for tow to remove the vehicle.

All closures have since reopened – it is unknown if any charges were laid as a result of the collision.
