Peterborough OPP: 71-year-old arrested for impaired operation following collision

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on the 7th line at approximately 4:00pm yesterday afternoon. The suspect vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 29 and County Road 23 shortly after the original traffic complaint was received. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Minor injuries were reported in the collision.

Gary LIVINGSTON (age 71) of Peterborough, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus

• Operation while impaired-alcohol

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 1, 2021.
