Small fire at Trinity College School quickly extinguished

It was around 4:45PM this afternoon that Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services stations 1 & 2 were called to 170 Ward St in Port Hope for a report of an automatic alarm. A very short time later the call was updated to a confirmed structure fire and crews from all three stations responded.

First arriving crews entered the building and located a small fire in a second story bathroom. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and began a search for any possible extensions.

After ventilating the halls in the school, crews are beginning to clear the scene. Firefighters did a tremendous job at quickly locating this small fire before it spread.
