Peterborough Police arrest three males after gun is found in a residence

Peterborough Police have arrested three men after a firearm was found in a Peterborough residence. 

At around midnight on November 12, 2021, officers and the Emergency Response Team attended an Aylmer Street regarding a weapons complaint. 

As a result of the investigation a firearm was located in the residence and three people were arrested and charged.  It is not believed to be connected to the shooting incident earlier in the evening. 

30-year-old Luther Fraser of Ajax was arrested and charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada

22-year-old Jermaine Ricketts of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada 

19-year-old Mishawn Richards of Scarborough was arrested and charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada

All three accused have been held in custody and will appear in court today, November 12, 2021
