
BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR GRAFTON RESIDENTS IN PRESSURE ZONE 1
Lakefront Utilities has issued a boil water advisory for residents in pressure zone 1 in Grafton north of the 401 in the Edwardson Rd and Lyle st area.
They say that the County MRF and the Alnwick/Haldimand Fire Station #1 along Edwardson Rd are among those affected.
Lakefront Utilities advises you can still use tap water for things like washing clothes, taking showers/ bathing provided care is taken not to swallow the water, shaving, and flushing toilets.
Use cooled, boiled water for drinking, brushing teeth, hand washing, washing ready to eat foods (fruits and vegetables), preparing food or making baby formula, making ice, coffee makers, and for giving water to pets.
They advise not to use kitchen or household water filters, ice makers or soda dispensers, or childrens water play activities.
Lakefront Utilities will be collecting samples throughout today and tomorrow, and advise that all affected residents will be advised when the advisory is lifted.
