DRIVER CHARGED FOLLOWING COMPLAINT ON 401 IN QUINTE WEST

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) laid charges after responding to a complaint on the 401.

On January 16, 2022 at approximately 6:30 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to the eastbound Highway 401 between Wallbridge Loyalist Road and Highway 62 following a report that a vehicle was stopped on the side of the highway and the driver appeared to be impaired. Officers attended and conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) with the driver. As result of the test, the accused was arrested.  

Sean BLAIR-BULLER, 19 years old of Belleville has been charged with the following offences: 

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs;
  • Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available; and
  • Have care or control of a motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor 

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario court of Justice in Belleville on February 3, 2022.
