On May 3 rd , 2022, Port Hope Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle bearing two different Ontario license plates, in the Ultramar Gas Station on Ontario Street.
The male driver provided a name to the officer, however it was later learned that he provided false information.
As a result, police say the male was arrested for obstructing police, Use Plate not Authorized for Vehicle (x2), Owner Operate motor vehicle on a highway-no insurance and Drive Motor Vehicle -no License.
The male was transported to the Port Hope Police Station where his identity was confirmed. He was later released on an undertaking and is to appear in court in June.
