John Deer gator bursts into flames in Hamilton Township corn field

Members from all Hamilton Township Fire Department stations responded to a vehicle on fire in a corn field in the area of McBride Rd Jack Gordon Rd.

It happened around 4:40 this afternoon when a gator caught fire. The flames caught surrounding grass on fire which spread a short distance.

Crews quickly contained and extinguished the affected grass area and moved to the gator which was a complete loss.

A quick response by the Hamilton Township Fire Department saved a potential crippling loss to a local farmer by saving the cop before fire spread to a point beyond saving.
