Male transported to hospital following motorcycle collision involving a deer on County Road 28

A male in his 40’s has been transported to hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle collided head on with a deer on County Road 28.

A male in his 40’s has been transported to hospital following a collision on County Road 28 near the 7th Line in Hamilton Township Friday evening. The collision involved a motorcycle that struck a deer head on while traveling southbound on County Road 28.

Emergency Services received the call from a neighbor to the scene who heard the crash before calling 9-1-1 just before 9:30PM. When they arrived they located a male suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the collision.

The male was assessed on the scene before being transported to a local hospital by Northumberland Paramedics.

A reminder to drivers that when emergency services have a road blocked, it is usually for a reason. There is no point in attempting to drive through the scene – turn around and find another way. Attempting to drive through an emergency scene puts first responders (who are already busy trying to clear the scene, assess patients ETC) at risk of injury.
