Peterborough police along with OPP are investigating after a bomb threat was made at a Peterborough car dealership

Peterborough Police asking anyone with information to come forward after a bomb threat was made against a Peterborough business Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:00pm on September 28, 2022, officers were called to a business at the corner of Lansdowne Street and Spillsbury Drive after the business received a message that a bomb had been placed on the property.  

Upon arrival officers evacuated the business, set up a perimeter and called the OPP bomb unit for assistance.  Just before 1:00am the OPP Bomb Unit attended and bomb detecting dogs were used to determine that there wasn’t anything of an explosive nature on the property. 

Peterborough Police thank the public for their patience.  The area was cleared after about 9 hours and the investigation is ongoing.
