Single vehicle collision leads to impaired driving charges for a Peterborough driver: OPP

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Selwyn Road at approximately 8:30am yesterday morning. The vehicle entered the ditch while travelling at a high rate of speed. The uninjured driver was found to be under the influence of drugs. 

Aaron LIVINGSTON (age 29) of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-drugs

• Possession of a Schedule I substance-cocaine

• Obstruct peace officer

• Careless driving

• Drive motor vehicle-no licence

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on November 2, 2022.
