A 30-year-old Peterborough woman is facing several charges after an incident at a local business.
At approximately 7:50pm on October 21, 2022, officers were called to the business in the Chemong Road and Milroy Drive area about a disturbance at the store. Upon arrival, officers located a security guard and a female patron that had left without paying for several items from the electronics department in the parking lot. During the incident the security guard reported the accused had bit and hit him.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with intent to resist arrest
- Theft Under $5000
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 8, 2022.
On October 22, 2022, officers were made aware of the incident in which a female was pushed and repeatedly communicated with by a former partner at a local business in the King Street and George Street North area.
As a result, a 20-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal
- Criminal Harassment – repeatedly communicate
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 24, 2022.
At approximately 11:30am on October 23, 2022, officers were called to the area of King Street and Water Street about a disturbance. Upon arrival officers learned that a male victim had been sprayed with bear mace and that the suspect had fled the area. The victim was treated at the scene by EMS before being taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
A short time later officers located a man matching the description given to police and took the man into custody.
As a result, a 38-year-old Scarborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court November 8, 2022.
