Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Northumberland County and its surrounding areas.

Approximately 20 to 35 millimetres of precipitation is expected to fall between Friday evening and Saturday evening.

Frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb the expected rainfall, which poses a risk to localized flooding and water pooling on roadways.
