Collision leads to recovery of stolen vehicle on Highway 115: OPP

On March 14, 2023 at approximately 11:00pm, members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised that a sport utility vehicle (SUV) had entered the centre median on Highway 115 just south of County Road 10. Upon arrival, officers found the SUV with two occupants unable to fully explain how they arrived at that location. Through investigation it was determined that the SUV had been stolen earlier that day from the City of Kawartha Lakes.

 Shawn DUPUIS (age 50) of Oshawa, was charged with:

• Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 3, 2023.

Tabatha O’NEILL (age 31) of no fixed address, was charged with:

• Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 3, 2023.
