Two Durham Region residents arrested in connection to a break and enter at a business: Kawartha Lakes OPP

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two individuals in connection to a break and enter at a local business. 

On March 29, 2023, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to a break and enter in progress at a business in Coboconk. As part of the investigation, officers conducted a vehicle stop, and an investigation revealed the vehicle contained stolen property and break in tools.

The following individuals were arrested and charged:

Michael WINN, 56 years-of-age, of Oshawa was charged with: 

  • Possession of Break In Instruments 
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence

Carmine PORCO, 42 years-of-age, of Courtice was charged with: 

  • Possession Break In Instruments 
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on April 27, 2023.
