The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in an impaired driving investigation. 

On March 29, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of an unknown motorist sleeping in a private driveway on Wallbridge Road, Quinte West. An investigation led to the driver being arrested.

Crystal TYO, 39 years old from Belleville, has been charged with the following offences:

• Operation while impaired – Alcohol or drugs
• Refusal to comply with breath demand

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 13, 2023. Additionally, the vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their licence was suspended for 90 days.
