Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid a public mischief charge in relation to circumstances surrounding a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on April 29, 2023 in the Port Hope area. 

On April 30^, 2023, the Northumberland OPP received information regarding the vehicle involved in the collision and initiated an investigation.  

On May 18, 2023, as a result of the investigation, Trevor KATHNELSON, 43-years old of Northumberland County has been charged with public mischief, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on June 14, 2023.
