Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single motor vehicle collision that resulted in one female arrested for impaired operation.
On May 22, 2023 officers responded to a report for a single vehicle collision in Bexley Township where the driver drove off the road way and into a field crossing over a farmers fence. The driver was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Amber BUTLER 48 years old of Oshawa
- Operation while impaired (drug and alcohol)
- Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration over 80
- Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
- Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
- Careless Driving
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date and the motor vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
