Operation while Impaired – Port Hope Police A 36 year old male was arrested for impaired driving after Port Hope Police responded to a traffic complaint around 8:00 pm on October 24, 2020.  A witness observed the male driving southbound on County Road #10 in Port Hope, swerving on the road. Richard Howe, a Newcastle man was arrested by police after exiting the Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-through. On Friday October 23, 2020, at approximately 2:45 pm, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Cramahe Township Fire Department, and Northumberland Paramedics, responded to a collision involving two motorcycles on County Road 2 between Ontario Street and Townline Road, west of the town of Colborne.
